After having to cancel in 2020, Metal Dash Weekend is on for 2023!
Land Rover enthusiast Don Flye hosts the annual Metal Dash Weekend and Land Rover swap meet each fall at his farm in Petersham, Massachusetts. Petersham is located in the scenic New England North Quabbin Woods region. All Land Rover enthusiasts are welcome. The event offers free on site camping, swap meet, vehicle displays, tech sessions, off road adventures, driving course, good people and good times for all. There is hiking right on the property and a pond for water adventures like fishing and canoeing.
The annual event is held the weekend after British Invasion weekend in Stowe, Vermont, so for 2023 the dates are September 22-24.
Metal Dash Weekend 2022 is now history! What a great weekend! We had a great turnout, decent weather, good food and an all-round good time. Photos of the 2022 event can now be found here.
Friday:
Check in, swap meet, make camp and relax with friends old and new by the camp fire.
Saturday:
10:00 am - Green laning - Destination Red Apple Farm where lunch is available for purchase.
2:00 - 5:00 pm - Time trials and tech sessions on the farm.
6:00 pm - Dinner TBD.
8:30 pm - Camp fire, stories and s'mores.
Sunday:
9:00 am - Games and prizes in the tent
All day - Local events to be posted soon
The event is centrally located in New England and is accessible from everywhere and all are encouraged to come. A suggested donation of $20 for the weekend or $10 per day is asked to help cover expenses. Bring the family, children are welcome under the careful supervision of their parents.
On-site camping is encouraged. Camping is in a farm field with no marked sites or specific facilities. Cooking is allowed and there is a common bonfire area.
Trade and sale of parts is encouraged. Anyone who shows up with a truck load of parts will be welcomed for free.
